Arlene Scanlan launched Moxie Productions in 2003. She is a Tony award-winning Broadway producer whose mission is to support and encourage fully engaging, entertaining and inspiring work on stage, screen and through digital media.


Moxie Productions develops, produces, invests in and presents theater for the New York stage and is the proud recipient of 1 Tony Award, 5 Tony nominations, 3 Drama Desk Nominations and 1 Drama Desk Award along with a London Olivier Award nomination. Her award-winning productions on Broadway include La Cage Aux Folles, the 2010 Tony Award winning Best Musical.

Current and upcoming Moxie Productions include SMASH (4/10/2025-present), Some Like It Hot Tour (12/23 – present), Kimberly Akimbo Tour (10/23 – present). Recent and past Broadway productions include Diana the Musical, Escape to Margaritaville, Tuck Everlasting, Be More Chill, Oleanna, How to Succeed, Blithe Spirit and On Golden Pond.
London productions include Dear Evan Hansen (2022), Sing Street (opening in 2025/26).

In addition, the Moxie Productions team has successfully brought their client’s IP to children’s television, escape rooms, events and both live arena and on-line exhibits worldwide.

Children’s live productions include Chick Chicka Boom Boom touring production launch Fall 2025 – Pittsburgh Children’s Theater.
